  •   A podcast about what matters in Lafayette's headlines

It’s clear that Lafayette is at a tipping point. In virtually every facet of civic life, we’re up against some kind of crisis. So what good does it do worry about Downtown? Where does Downtown fit into Lafayette’s future? Two leaders in local urban planning — Carlee Alm-LaBar and Harry Weiss — are themselves in transition. Alm-LaBar is leaving her post as the city’s planning director for a job in the private sector. Weiss is headed to Oregon to run an urban revitalization agency after spending the last three years on staff at One Acadiana. We take a deep dive into what a strong urban core looks like and what impact building that core could have on Lafayette during a seismic flux.
