Fifteenth Judicial District Judge Marilyn Castle remanded the issue back to the city council while ruling in favor of Glomax LLC, which was turned down by the city council and the Lafayette Planning Commission in its bid for a plat approval.

Lafayette’s councils will elect new leaders Tuesday and consider plans left by M-P Josh Guillory’s admin to spend $86 million in federal stimulus funds before a Dec. 31 deadline.
Joining Boulet’s administration will be Karen Fontenot as chief financial officer, Matthew Duhon as chief innovation officer and Robert Yancy LeGrande with the Office of the Mayor-President.

Now in its seventh year, the holiday event is once again expected to draw hundreds of children to the Northgate Mall from 2-5 p.m. Saturday to each receive a beautifully wrapped present.
Leonard Franques was charged Wednesday in a bill of information, which usually indicates a defendant has signed a plea deal and intends to cooperate. No date has been set for a first appearance.
