The Undercurrent Awards celebrate the folks working to make Lafayette a better place to live. We call them Wavemakers — a force for good moving under the surface.
They come from all walks of life and work. They’re our neighbors and coworkers. They’re educators, volunteers, advocates and more.
What Wavemakers have in common is their impact is felt, even if their work is unseen. Like the classes before them, this year’s Wavemakers were selected from a pool of 100 nominations by a panel of prior honorees.
Their stories are inspiring, and they give Lafayette a lot of to be proud of.
Click the portraits below to get know the six Wavemakers we’ll celebrate at the 2023 Undercurrent Awards, Nov. 29 at Moncus Park.
