Gov. John Bel Edwards will join New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell Sunday in New Orleans for a walk-through of the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center that will be used for recovering coronavirus patients who no longer need to be hospitalized.
Media will not be allowed to follow the walk-through; however, a media briefing will be held after the tour. Media will be able to get video and pictures inside the convention center at a later time that will be announced next week. As of Saturday, March 28, there were 3,315 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana, with 137 deaths.
