Recognizing the best in local architecture, planning and design, we are pleased to announce 12 winning projects for The Current In Design Awards 2023.
Awards were conferred in three groups: Seven awards juried by Marlon Blackwell Architects, a globally renowned firm based in Fayetteville, Ark; three editors choices awards; and three readers choices awards.

These projects represent the right combination of vision and impact. They prove what we can do when Lafayette use smart design to invest in ourselves.
We received 52 entries, extending eligibility to projects within the Acadiana region and completed since 2017, the last time an architecture awards program was produced locally. Over 600 votes were cast in the readers choice poll.
Winners will be celebrated at a reception the evening of March 29 at the Acadiana Center for the Arts, featuring keynote speaker Antoine Bryant, Director of Planning and Development for the City of Detroit.
