Hey nonprofits! Could you change Lafayette with One Big Project?

We’re proud to announce One Big Project, a platform for nonprofits to pitch transformative ideas.

One Big Project will showcase projects that can leverage Lafayette’s $86 million slice of the American Rescue Plan Act to address the health and economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.

One Big Project

ARPA dollars can be used to expand community health clinics, boost vaccine programs, bridge the digital divide, and provide direct aid to families and small businesses; they can also be used to stabilize government finances and shore up key infrastructure.

Local governments can activate local nonprofits that are already doing much of this work. As a nonprofit ourselves, we believe strongly in the power of mission-driven organizations to change lives and improve our community.

One Big Project is an effort to amplify the voices and creative potential of Lafayette’s service organizations.

We invite every legally incorporated Lafayette nonprofit to submit ideas that meet ARPA’s eligibility requirements by Oct. 15 at 10 p.m. using this link here.

Submissions will be posted to our Project Showcase, which will also serve as a platform for the community to advocate for ideas they love to both council members and other decision makers.

If you’d like to learn more about how this money can be spent, we’re holding two virtual information sessions. You can register at the links below:

One Big Project is a chance to think big and imagine what’s possible with a historic public investment. Help us define a vision for how we can transform our community together!
