Complicated Cocktails: Hibiscus Lemonade Cooler

Summer’s long days are upon us — the perfect time to porch-sit and while off the late-day hours. This light-tasting spiked lemonade is a perfect mate for taking it slow. Sip on it in the afternoon haze and let the glass sweat through golden hour. Its hibiscus tea base can chill your blood pressure, improve your digestion and wick off stress. Treat yourself right at day’s end.

Ingredients

  • 6 hibiscus tea bags
  • 1 quart of water
  • 1 quart of lemonade
  • 1 cup of vodka
  • 1 lemon
  • Ice

Instructions

To make the tea put six hibiscus tea bags in a quart of water and let steep for 10 mins. Pour 1 quart of hibiscus tea and 1 quart of lemonade into a medium sized pitcher. Pour in 1 cup of vodka. Place 4 whole slices of lemon in the pitcher and stir. Fill a tall glass with ice and pour cocktail in. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
